Innova Partnership - Central London Sites

HT Ecology is providing the ecology inputs across several central London sites for the Innova Partnership, a joint venture between Network Rail Property and IJM Land Berhad formed to develop under-utilised railway land. The sites cover the London Boroughs of Islington, Brent, Tower Hamlets and the City of Westminster. They will deliver mixed use developments including in the region of 1,600 new homes with the estimated gross development value in excess of £3billion.

We are leading the ecological work across the sites, including protected species surveys, Biodiversity Net Gain assessments using the statutory metric, and the ecology chapters of the Environmental Statements. Working alongside the design team, we are helping to shape landscape proposals within the sites and the wider Network Rail landholding to deliver measurable biodiversity gains on brownfield sites above and adjacent to live railway infrastructure. The project required undertaking surveys across multiple sites and delivering coordinated ecological input to major urban regeneration schemes.
