Ecological Impact Assessment and BNG Assessment- Vitacress, Lower Link Farm, Hampshire

Vitacress proposed a new wetland including a series of six interlinked ponds to improve sediment and salad wash management.

HT Ecology provided ecological input into the project through survey, design and assessment. We produced the Ecology Statement of the Environmental Statement which found that the development would have a 'Biodiversity Net Gain' due to the creation of a large wetland area on existing arable land of low ecological value. The design of the wetland habitat focussed on the provision of native wetland species characteristic of the local area thereby contributing to the aims of local and national biodiversity plans.
