HABITAT REGULATION ASSESSMENT

HT Ecology is able to provide advice on all stages of Habitat Regulations Assessments (HRA) from Screening to Appropriate Assessment. We have been producing HRAs since 2007 and have expertise in completing shadow HRAs for residential projects and strategic HRAs of Local Plans. We have particular expertise in designing Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace (SANG) strategies, along with the associated visitor surveys. We regularly provide HRA support on projects with water quality and air quality issues which potentially impact on former European sites. We have also acted as an expert witness at a Local Plan Inquiry.
